Objetivos
The student will be able to have a clear idea not only about the format of the TOEFL iBT Writing Task, but also about the rates' considerations when judging their essays. At the end of the course they will be familiar with the 185 official TOEFL essay-writing topics assigned for the Independent Writing Task and will be ready to face a writing task based on any of them.
Also, they will learn how to avoid the most common writing mistakes made by TOEFL candidates. They too will receive important essay-writing tips and be told a series of strategies for raising their score.
Furthermore, they will be able to revise common grammar mistakes made by students in the iBT writing task and learn about key grammar formations on the test, as well as their usage, not forgetting writing mechanics, including spelling and punctuation. Finally, they will be able to practice time discipline under exam conditions, so as to be able to make proficient essays with in the 20 or 30 minute periods allowed for the task.
